The Subtraction Protocol
Your 'diversified' list of 14 bank accounts is actually a massive blind spot.
Many professionals hoard accounts 'just in case.' They think they are building safety nets. In reality, they are building a maze that makes it impossible to see their true financial health.
Clarity is the ultimate asset. You can't manage what you can't see.
How to apply the Subtraction Protocol:
- The Functionality Test: If this account doesn't have a unique, necessary job that another account can't do, close it.
- Consolidate Old 'Ghosts': Those three old 401(k)s from previous jobs are just adding cognitive load. Move them to one central hub.
- Standardize your View: If you can't see your total net worth in 60 seconds, your system is too complex.
I've linked the full deep dive on the Subtraction Protocol in the first comment below.
